And then there were 23 – Stars make series of roster moves

The Dallas Stars appear to have finalized their roster, placing defenseman Patrik Nemeth and forward Curtis McKenzie on waivers Monday and sending forwards Jason Dickinson, Remi Elie, and Roope HIntz to the Texas Stars of the AHL.

Once Nemeth and McKenzie go through the waivers process – whether they clear and are assigned to the Texas or are claimed by another NHL team – the Stars will be down to 23 players.

NHL rosters don’t need to be set until 4 p.m. (CT) on Tuesday, so things could still change. But based on Monday’s moves, the Stars roster would include 13 forwards, 8 defensemen and 2 goaltenders.
